Fan Controller - Temperature Sensor For this experiment, I attempted to rig up a contained thermostat control loop. The thought was to use a temperature sensor (RHT03), a powered fan, and 2 push buttons to control programmable temperature threshold (set point). Unfortunately, I was not able to find a fan in time and the logic was replaced by a LCD that emulates a fan being triggered. By pressing either of the two buttons, a set point variable is changed (and printed to the serial monitor). When the setpoint is lower than the temperature received from the sensor, the LCD/fan is powered. One can play with this experiment by setting the threshold to a room's current temperature and covering the sensor with one's finger. As the sensor begins to warm up, the LCD/fan will come on. When released and the sensor cools, the LCD/fan will turn off. |
